Latifah Adesina

Texas A&M University

Latifa is a junior Communications major, with a minor in Computer Science. In her free time, she enjoys going for long walks, crocheting, and reading books. Her favorite part of research is gathering the data itself. Latifa hopes to further her education in computational linguistics and study communication technologies in the future.

    Olivia Antonelli

    Texas A&M University

    Olivia is a junior Kinesiology major, focusing on coaching and exercise science. In her free time she enjoys exploring the outdoors, trying local food spots and thrifting with friends. Olivia not only studies at Texas A&M University, but also competes on the powerlifting team. She is excited to bring together her interests in science and humanities through Science Influencers.

      Hector Ibarra

      Texas A&M International University

      Hector is a first-generation Hispanic student at Texas A&M International University. He is passionate about becoming a doctor and improving healthcare for underserved communities. Hector enjoys his leadership involvement as Greek Council President, as well as in other academic and leadership roles. Hector’s goal is to one day return to his university and establish a hospital that serves the public, while also inspiring other first-generation Hispanic students to pursue a career in medicine.

        Kira McArthur

        Texas A&M University, Galveston

        Kira is majoring in Marine Biology at Texas A&M University- Galveston. Her fascination with coastal ecosystems and the resiliency of biological systems is inspired from her childhood living by the ocean in Southern California. Kira’s goal for her Science Influencers experience is to study dune structures in coastal environments and how they can provide protection and sustainability for coastal communities.

          Zoee Nolen

          Texas A&M University

          Zoee Nolen is a junior double major in Agricultural Communications and Journalism and Agricultural Economics from Seminole, Texas. Growing up in a rural agricultural community where her family grew row crops and raised cattle, she developed a profound appreciation for agriculture’s role on both local and global scales. Beyond her academic pursuits, Zoee cherishes nurturing meaningful relationships with family and friends, spending time outdoors and living out her Christian faith with purpose.

            Subi Sankar

            Texas A&M University

            Subi is a senior Biology major with an interest in environment and cellular science. Beyond her academic pursuits, she enjoys swimming, exploring music, watching films and cherishing meaningful moments with friends and family. Driven by a passion for discovery, her favorite part of research is unraveling the unknown. Subi is committed to bridging the gap between complex scientific research and public understanding.

              Vishnu Vasudev

              Texas A&M University

              Vishnu is a sophomore Biomedical Engineering major from Plano, Texas. He plans on pursuing a Ph.D. after graduating and wants to go into the biotech or biopharma industries. Vishnu’s hobbies include gardening, baking, and cooking. He also likes to go hiking and is a total chemistry nerd.

                Ian Wilhite

                Texas A&M University

                Ian is a junior Interdisciplinary Engineering Custom Track student specializing in Robotics and Controls. Aside from school, he has founded and runs a Disaster Response Observation Network (DRON), leading drones to assist first responders in wildfire scenarios. Ian is actively seeking autonomous research positions for the summer of 2025 and plans to pursue graduate studies to further his expertise in robotics and control systems.
