Raquel Aguilar

Rachel Aguilar is a senior public health major with academic interests grounded in population health promotion and science communication. She is particularly interested in how effective communication, alongside scientific methodologies, can help convey complex health and STEM-related concepts to diverse audiences.

She is currently involved in a research project led by Dr. Jun Wang that examines the bidirectional relationship between adolescent mental health and social media use. In this role, Rachel primarily supports community outreach by communicating with participants, conducting interviews, scheduling meetings, and assisting with administrative tasks. Through the Science Influencers REEU program, she hopes to continue developing her science storytelling and outreach skills to help translate scientific and health data into clear, usable information for the public.
