Alexandra Ash

Texas A&M International University

Alexandra is a junior Biology major, fascinated by our natural world and the endless species interactions at play. Academics aside, she loves drawing and playing video games during her free time. Since this is her first research experience, she is excited to meet with like-minded people and experts in the field to expand her knowledge in biology.

Caleb Crubaugh

Texas A&M University

Caleb is a junior in Biological and Agricultural engineering with an interest in working in Agricultural Development. He plans to research extremophile microorganisms due to their biotechnological potential for use in agriculture. His favorite part of research is the potential for discovering something that could change people’s lives for the better.

Davis Johnson

Texas A&M University

Davis Johnson is a freshman Biomedical Engineering major from Houston, Texas. He enjoys playing sports, spending quality time with friends and family, and is passionate about his faith in Christ. Davis’ favorite part of research is discovering the unknown and the camaraderie it brings.

Alejandro Navarro

Texas A&M International University

Alejandro is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science Engineering. His studies have led him to delve into the behavior of deer and buck, particularly noting their differences in parks compared to other small forests. Alejandro values the firsthand experience gained from physical exploration and research over simply reading about new topics in books.

Ava Takenaka

Texas A&M University

Ava is a sophomore in Biomedical Engineering. She wants to use her degree and her passion for Christian mission work to aid the international medical community. Her desire to make an international impact comes from growing up internationally, though she is originally from Canada! Her favorite part of research is the challenge it poses and the problem solving and critical thinking skills it requires.

John “JD” Taylor

Texas A&M University

John, or JD, is an Agricultural Communications major. He was raised in Miami, but considers Dallas his home since he spent formative years in the suburbs surrounding it. His goal is to work for the USDA, which is also where he would like to intern as part of this program. JD’s favorite part of research is learning something new.

Marisol Vazquez

Texas A&M International University

Marisol is a Biology major with an interest in botany and mycology. She has passion for the outdoors, rock climbing, and wellness. She hopes to integrate her passions to find solutions and improve the field of science. In research, she enjoys doing field work and analyzing data.
