Adeeba Mohammed

Adeeba Mohammed is a junior biomedical sciences major with a minor in English whose academic interests center on medicine and science communication. She aspires to become a pediatric endocrinologist and is particularly interested in how clear, accurate communication can support patient understanding beyond clinical settings.

Adeeba’s motivation to strengthen her science communication skills stems from observing how misinformation and anti-science rhetoric can influence health decisions, both globally and within families. She views effective communication as an essential responsibility for future healthcare professionals. Through the Science Influencers REEU program, mentored by Eleanor Su-Keene, Adeeba hopes to begin developing the skills needed to communicate reliable, evidence-based medical information to patients, communities, and families throughout her future career.
